| AFNOR represents France within the International and European standards authorities, the CEN and ISO. In this time of European construction, the drafting of standards has been transferred from national committees to International and European committees, all in one common language: English. As a result, for the last fifteen years Afnor’s need for documents to be translated from English into French has been on the increase. These documents cover many different technical areas such as ergonomics, metallurgy, medicine, the agri-food industry, safety of toys and machines, chemical analysis, quality of air and ground water, information technology and building and public works. LCI has been in partnership with Afnor as a provider of technical translation services for fifteen years. |
